Ashley Dawn & Nick Heiert live in Alexandria.  Both have lived in Campbell County all their lives.  They met in 2020 & got married last year.  Nick has been coming to the fair as long as he can remember. His favorite childhood fair memories revolved around the Sunday afternoon costume class where he would drive the pony wagon with all 3 of his sisters dressed up in crazy costumes each year.

Ashley works as a morning radio host on The Big Dave Show on B-105.  She has recently gotten involved with the fair working as parking crew, chauffeuring Little Mr. & Miss Alexandria Fair in the parade and last year as a judge of the Mullet Contest.  Ashley is big on community, whether speaking at a charity event or rolling up her sleeves to help within the neighborhood.  She is grateful to be part of such a tight knit community.

For nearly 20 years Nick has been at the fair as a police officer with the Campbell County Police Department. He said, "the Fair gives me a chance to slow down & see people that I lose touch with throughout the rest of the year.  I love to walk around and catch up with the horse people, visit the petting zoo & watch the greased pig contest.  As a kid my mom caught the pig but I never did.  She has never let me forget that either!"
